My 1099-G has amounts in box 1 and 2. Box 1 says 'interest income reported to IRS' and box 2 says 'Refund reported to IRS'. Where do I put the amount in box 1?

Fascinating 1099-G form...appears to be non-standard to me.

Utah may have made that one up to fit their purposes.

But yes, the interest is reported as a 1099-INT in box 1

That doesn't sound like a 1099G.   1099G box 1 is for unemployment

But to enter the interest, enter it separately like a 1099 INT  and put the amount in box 1.

Enter a 1099-Int under

Federal

Wages & Income

Interest and Dividends

@gordonlemmon1

Maybe some new non-standard form format??

What state issued the form?

See image below. I just added box 1 as if it were reported on a 1099-INT, since it says "Substitute form 1099-INT"

It even says substitute 1099-INT and 1099G up in the top right corner.
