Line 10 of my 2018 tax return is $252,784. Line 11a, is $48.744. I manually calculate the tax to be $49,247. Am I missing something?

Line 10 is correct but I cannot manually calculate the $48,744.

The amount of tax in TurboTax may be lower than the tax you calculated from the IRS tax tables because you may have qualified dividends or long term capital gains which are taxed at lower rates.
