Last year 2020 i maxed out my limit to what i had to pay in social security witholding, now it says i deferred the payments, help???

my W-2 shows where I paid every dime for the S.S. witholding. Is there a way that my employer didnt send in the entire amount do to the corona virus??

Your employer may have deferred some of your social security tax. Your social security tax withheld in box 4 on your W-2 form should be 6.2% of your social security wages reported in box 3 of your W-2. If it is less, then some of it was probably deferred because of Covid.
