Keeps asking for W2 info even though I am retired and unemployed

Retired, unemployed, and have no W2's yet when TT does it's final check it insists there is an issue with 3 things: 1. W2 (untitled) employer state wanted, 2. Employer ID, 3. Employer zip code. At no time did I tell TT I had a W2. Should I simply ignore these warnings?

You are posting from desktop software.  Go to Federal>Wages and Income

Click Wages and Salaries Form W-2

It will say something like "let's start with your W-2"

You can click "I don't have any W-2's"

That should take care of it.

You might have to go back and tell Turbo Tax  that you don't have W-2s.

Federal Taxes Tab

Wages & Income

Wages and Salaries- Click the Start or Update button

If it says…Let’s Work on Your W-2s

Check the button that says…We don’t have any W-2s

Then Click on Continue

Or if it gives you a box listing W2s (that might have transferred over from last year) then click delete by them.
