Just a curious question because I have never had this happen and I've been through TurboTax for 3 years has anybody out there actually got their state before their Federal before thanks for answering

If you are getting credits on your Federal and filed early, you could get the state refund first. 

The IRS has started delaying returns claiming credits for security reasons. 

They say those will be processed "Mid February".
