itemizing children dental expenses after divorce

I got divorced in 2020; we were filing as married joint before.  I am filing as single for 2020.  The children are not under my custody anymore.  Can I itemize kids dental expenses that I paid in 2020 under my federal tax return?

The general rule is that you can deduct medical expenses for yourself, your spouse and your dependents.  However, there is a special rule in the case of divorced or separated parents that the non-custodial parent can still claim a deduction for medical expenses for their children when the other parent claims them as dependents.
