Is the income from my federal retirement considered an RMD? This is the first time that question has been asked.

Is my pension from the federal government Office of Personnel Management considered an RMD?

No it is not an RMD. It is a Public Pension. An RMD is required from an IRA, 401k, etc.

If you are age 70 1/2 or older then all of your pension is an RMD.
