Is it tax wise to wait two years to apply for my SS benefit ,while drawing down from my assets?

Generally, yes, but the correct answer depends on conditions such as as your expected longevity and the types of investments you will be using in the interim. That depends on how long you end up living, and how much extra you will get by delaying claiming your benefit.  There's no right answer.  See a qualified financial planner.
