Is a psychologist for the State that works with inmates a public safety officer?

Works in the prison system. Retired on a corrections plan. Receiving a corrections annuity.

No.  A Psychologist is not considered a public safety officer. The definition of a Public Safety officer is  (A) an individual serving a public agency in an official capacity, with or without compensation, as a law enforcement officer, as a firefighter, or as a chaplain"
