Is a hardship withdrawal for mortgage to prevent eviction considered eligible expense distribution?

5329-T worksheet line W says should not be greater than 1,000 my withdraw was 1013.00. What should I put?

Yes, a possible eviction qualifies for the hardship withdrawal. The IRS says" the distribution shouldn't be more than the amount of money needed right away. This includes the money needed to pay any taxes that come from the distribution." Thus if Line W of the worksheet is limiting the entry to $1,000, then enter that amount. .
