IRA deductible contributions when retired and working part time while receiving pension payments.

If retired and receiving pension payments and working part time, can I deduct traditional IRA contributions without being subject to the income limits if my current year W-2 box 13 is not checked?

Yes, if box 13 isn't checked and if your employer doesn't have a retirement plan then you were not covered by an employers retirement plan. If you don't have a spouse that is covered by a retirement plan at work then you can deduct the traditional IRA contributions. Please see IRA deduction if you are not covered by a retirement plan at work - 2024 for details.
