In the first box it ask for my employer's Federal ID#. I'm retired and have no employer. I do not have a W-2 Form. What do I do?

Skip the W-2 section and go on to enter other income.

How do I satisfy Turbotax needing employer ID when I'm retired. If I skip I cannot Efile until I answer the question

If you think you may have started to enter a W-2 (but don't have one), type 'W-2' in the Search window, then click on 'Jump to w-2.'

At the W-2 summary page, you can delete any entry there (trash can icon to the right).

If you have a 1099-R for a Retirement distribution, the 'Payer's ID' or 'Federal Identification Number' is what will be entered.

Type '1099-R' in the Search window, then click on 'Jump to 1099-R'.  Or, under Wages & Income, scroll down to 'IRA, 401K, Pension Plans.'

Here's step on How to Enter a 1099-R.
