In section for 'State Return', says I received retirement benefits and asks me "Are you retired?" How define 'retired'? I did 'retire' fr one job, still work parttime

I turned 65 in Dec 2016, not yet receiving social security

The question is just pertaining to the one retirement account you are drawing from.

So your answer would be "yes" I am retired.

There are some retirement plans that may be taxed differently if you draw out prior to retirement.  But a monthly check is considered retired.

Many retired (for tax purposes), do work part-time
