If my distribution code is 7D and I can only enter one of the two, which one do I enter?

My 1099-R box 7 code is 7D but my choice to enter is either 7 or D. Which one is it?

On the TurboTax Form 1099-R entry screen you need to check the box labeled I have more than one value in Box 7 located just below box 7.  Enter the code of 7 in the first box and the code of D in the second box.

7D is the combination of 2 codes, 7 and D. You should enter them both.

In TurboTax Online, on the entry screen of form 1099-R, put a checkmark on I have more than one value in Box 7. A second Box 7 will appear and you can enter the two codes, one in each box. The order doesn’t matter; TurboTax'll make sure you get the right results either way.

Code D does not match with non qualified annuity questions for TT.  The only work around is to remove Code D but that doesn't seem correct.   It looks like another software issue on TT end.  Can you confirm?

This is a known issue, that when you enter a distribution code of D that you are asked questions about "other qualified retirement plans" which doesn't apply to nonqualified annuity (code D).
