If I received NJ maternity pay only, do I have to manually calculate the payout and report that amount as income in my tax return for Federal and NJ ? Why no document?

My employer only provided one W2 for regular wages and there all I can see is Third party Leave is checked and in boxes 12 a Code J ($XX) and 12 b Code DD ($YY) while box 14 has codes UI/WF/SWF, NJ DI and FLI and some amounts next to them.

However I didn't receive a second W2 (based on what I read on the community usually for maternity pay a second W2 is generated which tells it might be taxable).

If your W-2 has a Code J and an amount, that is non-taxable sick pay.

Just enter your W-2 as shown.
