If I'm amending a tax return from 2017 just to add Roth IRA contributions i made that year, do i update the address i was at when I filed in 2017? Because I moved.

I dont want to do it incorrectly or get in trouble, i just want the deduction for the contributions i made because i didnt know that was a thing at the time. It asks my occupation as well and im not in the navy anymore but was in 2017 so i just put that i am so far, because its the 2017 return. It asks me to put info in like im filing it for the first time, i dont want to get in trouble if they send me the whole refund again when i already got it back then.

The IRS needs you to use your current address on your amended if you've moved since you filed your original return.
