I was a Scentsy Consultant and I've made a little over $700 and will recieve a 1099. What do I need to do to file joint with my spouse and can he claim me?

Can my husband claim me as a dependent even though I had the DS job or no? How do I go about filing jointly with him and all the details

You'll most likely want to file jointly with your husband.

For your Scentsy income, you're going to want to file a Schedule C, with income and any expenses utilized to make that income coming off against it.  You'll also have to pay self-employment (SE) tax on any income minus expenses.

You can file with Deluxe, Premier, or Self-Employed.

Here's a link to help you decide.

Can I file the Schedule C with filing online? Can my husband still claim me as a dependent?

Yes, you may file Schedule C online.

You're probably going to want to file jointly with your husband, which means you won't be claimed as a dependent, but you'll get a larger standard deduction.

Okay! Is there anything else I need to know before filing with him?
