I used the turbotax form for the stimulus check when I'm a nonfiler. Now i can't go to check for my payment or fill out a nonfiler form from the irs site. What do i do?

Check the IRS website for status of the stimulus payment and update your bank information if necessary.

AGI is line 7 on your 2018 return and line 8B on your 2019 return.  Refund is line 21a of the 2019 tax return. and line 20a for 2018

I've seen some other posts this morning that non-filers that filed via the TT website are beginning to receive the payments.

I have tried to do that but I get sent to a payment status unavailable page.

this is from the IRS FAQs

The Get My Payment application will return "Payment Status Not Available" for several reasons, including:

  • You are required to file a tax return, but:
    • We haven't finished processing your 2019 return
    • The application doesn't yet have your data; we’re working on adding more data to allow more people to use it.
  • You don't usually file a return, and:
    • You used Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here but we haven’t processed your entry yet
    • You receive an SSA or RRB Form 1099 or SSI or VA benefits; information has not been loaded onto our systems yet for people who don’t normally file a tax return.
  • You’re not eligible for a payment (see Eligibility).

Thank you for the quick response. I have no reason to believe I would be ineligible and when I do go to check my status through the nonfiler portal it says that no return with that social security number has been submitted through this account. BUT when I do go to submit the form it also tells me that a form has already been submitted so I have been extremely confused as to what could have happened

You may want to start identity theft actions to recover the stimulus payments you are entitled to.  If you have qualifying children/dependents on your tax return then you should receive the stimulus payments for those dependents as well.

Begin the process by using this link for the Federal Trade Commission.  Next you can start the process by visiting IdentityTheft.gov.

For more information use this IRS page: Taxpayer Guide to Identity Theft

They may request that you file a tax return but start with the identity theft actions first since you believe you are a victim of this.
