I took part of my RMD but not the full amount. How do I enter this in Turbo Tax so I can apply for the waiver from tax penalty using F5329?

you can have the penalty waived if you take action now.

Then you will be able file with explanation including dates and amounts that you have resolved the issue.

To see your penalty tell TurboTax that the calculated Required amount is more than your distribution Box 1
