I took an early Roth distribution in 2018 to pay for educational expenses. The software asked for other exceptions, but not educational. Where do I add that?

For distributions from IRAs, the penalty tax may not apply on the amount of the distribution used to pay for higher education expenses.

After you enter the initial information about the Roth distribution, you'll be taken back to the screen "Your 1099-R Entries". Click "Continue" there and answer the remaining questions. When you see These Situations May Lower Your Tax Bill, enter the amount of the withdrawal next to "Other Reason" (see sample screenshot below)
