I stream on Twitch as a hobby. Maybe one day I can make it a job. I've received nothing from Twitch but I've received tips from my viewers, how do I file my tips?

I'm a broadcaster and affiliate on a website called Twitch. If someone decides to tip me it's because I gave them a service (broadcasting live video game with commentary).

Did your tip income exceed $400.00 and did you have any expenses related to this income?

My tips never exceed over $400 dollars and my expenses would be the video games and video game accessories I’ve bought but I’ve lost most of my receipts for those purchases.

Were the total tips you received in 2018 less than $400.00? Also, do you have records, other than receipts, for the expenses you incurred?

My total tips were less than $400 and my only other records would be my beans statements. Beyond that, I got nothing else.

This is self-employment income. If your total tip income did not exceed $400.00 and you are not reporting any business expenses, you may use TurboTax Deluxe Online Edition.  If you are reporting expenses in addition to income, you will need to use TurboTax Self-Employed Edition. It is recommended that you use any expenses incurred to offset the income from this activity.
