I received unemployment benefits in 2020, but not in 2021. TurboTax still wants me to fill out my 1099G information for 2021. How do I get around this?

My return is already tiny, and I do not want to have to pay for TurboTax Deluxe, although I did not even receive unemployment benefits in 2021. TurboTax won't let me finish my return if I don't enter that information, which is obviously all "zero". How do I get around them asking that information when I didn't receive anything to begin with?

If a Form 1099-G was transferred from the 2020 tax return -

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Tools

Click on Delete a form

Delete Form 1099-G

You should have been asked if you had that type of income in 2021 early on in the interview; choose "No". If you're still directed there, there should be a button at the bottom of the first screen to tell TurboTax you do NOT have this type of income for 2021.
