I received two Social Security 1099 Forms, 11 month under deceased husband and one month under my SS number. How do I record this?

How do I make two entries for Social Security or do I combine them.

Enter BOTH SSA-1099 forms separately.

To add multiple Form SSA-1099's for the same person (from the Social Security Administration) total all of your Forms before entering and use the total amount.

If your married filing joint (MFJ) and both you and your spouse received Form SSA-1099 don't combine your Form SSA-1099 with theirs (total per person).

To enter your Social Security benefits reported on form SSA-1099:

  1. Log into your account and continue (if not already there).
  2. In the Search box (top right-hand corner), type “ssa1099”.
  3. Click on the Magnifying Glass icon.
  4. Click on “Jump to ssa1099” link high-lighted in Blue.
  5. Answer the Step-by-step instructions.
