I received NDI benefits for a 6 month period in 2019. I work for the State of California so NDI is different than SDI. Do I have to report my NDI payments as taxable?

Yes, you have to report your NDI payments.  The Internal Revenue Service has ruled that NDI benefits are taxable wages.  State and federal taxes as well as Social Security contributions should have been withheld from your payments.
