I received an abnormal 1099B without a box 3 (which is a box you check if the basis was reported to the IRS). Should I check this box or not on my taxes?

The covered securities were both short-term and long-term gains. Most of the gains are less than $10 except for one. The 1099B says at the top "This is important tax information and is being furnished to the IRS".

If they were all covered securities, yes, check box 3 even though you don't have one.
