I received a 1099R for my NYC pension (NYCERS) what do I select for where my distribution is from. It is only taxed federal not state

When entering your Form 1099-R for your NYC pension,  select the New York State and Local Retirement System option.  From the See Examples list, choose Employees Retirement System (ERS)  Then the distribution will flow to your New York State return.
