I received 2 1099-R forms from my pension because of an address error. All the amounts are correct, but one shows TX and one CO - no taxes involved. How to correct?

Can I add them together and enter the correct state?  There is no taxes involved

Texas does not have income tax, so yes, you can just enter all of it to CO since no taxes were withheld and the numbers are correct.  You do not need to enter anything for TX as this will just cause an error in your return.

Is one of them marked CORRECTED at the top?   Does one replace the other?  or are they for 2 separate distributions?   Each distribution needs to be reported separately.  What is the problem with the address - is it your address or the payer's address that has a problem?

Here's where to enter your 1099-R in TurboTax:

  1. Open or continue your return.
  2. In the Federal section, select Wages & Income.
  3. Scroll to locate Retirement Plans and Social Security.
  4. Select Start or Revisit next to IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R).

You can also find the 1099-R section using Search. Open your return, enter 1099-r in the search bar, and select the Jump to 1099-r link.

Thanks for your reply.  I have 2 forms.  One shows the state as TX and the other CO.   All of it should be CO.    No taxes were withheld and the total amount is correct.   I am entering the information  into TurboTwx manually, so I don't know if I can just credit it all to CO or if I need to get new forms before I file.  Thanks again.
