I receive 2 checks monthly from social security 1 for disability the second for widowed benefits, I have no dependents. Do I need to file taxes?

All I want is a simple answer I am disabled and receive social security for it on the 3rd of each month. I also recently as of 2018 began receiving spousal widow benefits in addition.  The total amount is less than $1700 per month.  Do I need to file taxes with the IRS?

If Social Security is your ONLY income you do not have to file a tax return.
