I rec.ssa-1099 lump sum payment for disability in 2016 and taxes were paid on the lump sum. Why do I need to enter this again in 2020 return questions turbo tax asks?

I cont. to collect ss disability every yr since,. In Oct. of 2020 I turned 65. Do this have to do anything with the question Turbo is asking?

If you are being asked about receiving a lump sum for your SSA-1099 and you didn't simply answer no. You would not enter the same figures as you did before. However, if your 2020 form does have another lump sum, then you would go through the process again.
