I only received $285 for my commission. I didn't generate enough funds for a 1099 form through out the year. But I had monthly and travel expenses. Can I claim it?

In the income section, can I enter a dollar amont without a form?

Yes, you can report self-employment income with a tax form as Other Self-employed income.

  1. In business income, just under Type of Income, click on Add Income for this work
  2. On the next page, click on the radio button next to Other Self-employed Income
  3. Click Continue to enter your income received in cash, checks or bank transfers.

If you have expenses related to this business, you can deduct them.
