I never received third stimulus. My only income is disability so I have a SSA-1099. How do I enter that deduction?

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

You need to go to Federal Review to answer the question for the recovery rebate credit to say that you did not get the $1400 3rd EIP payment.   It will then end up on line 30 of your tax return.

However, the IRS sent those stimulus payments out automatically to people who receive Social Security.   Are you positive that you did not receive it?  Check your online account with the IRS.

If the IRS says you got $1400 last year but you did not receive it you can have it traced.

You have to file a tax for the year 2021 to claim the third stimulus.

TurbTax will ask you whether you received the stimulus. Say No.

It will add the eligible stimulus as Recovery Rebate Credit

To add 1099-SSA

  1. Open your tax return
  2. Search for Social Security benefits
  3. Click on Jump to Social Security benefits
  4. Enter your SSA-1099

Then click on the federal review

  • Answer Yes or No on the Did you get a third stimulus payment? screen.
  • You’ll be asked about the amount of the third stimulus payment you received. Confirm or update the amount shown as it compares to your information.
  • Continue through to file your return. When you get to the option to download and save it, you'll see the amount on line 30 of the 1040.
