I never got a Form 1099-R . What should I try. Phone calls and looking on line got me nowhere.

If you had a distribution from a retirement account or an annuity in 2024 you should have received a Form 1099-R.  Contact the financial institution or the administrator of the account.

Who were you expecting to get a 1099-R from? You need to contact them. They are the only one who can provide the form for you.
