I need to find out if the csa1099R and the csf 1099R are the same form?

Can I use CSF 1099R instead of csa 1099R?

The CSA 1099R is used by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to report a federal government retiree’s pension income. The CSF 1099R is used by the OPM to report a retiree’s spousal survivor benefit income.

In TurboTax (TT) each form has a separate entry screen.  But they are both taxed the same way, federally. Some states will treat them differently, for state tax purposes.

You enter the form you actually got at the appropriate screen. If you think there is an error in the form you received, you contact OPM
