I need to change my retirement plan coverage. I am not covered but tt has me as covered and is limiting other decutioins

Go back to the w-2 screen.  Un-check "Retirement plan" in box 13.

If your W2 has Box 13 checked on it, then you are covered by a retirement plan, you may have chosen not to participate in it, but that doesn't change the fact that you do have one.
