I moved from Colorado to NC 5 years ago. Have been filing in NC since then. I have a pension and this year I received two 1099R forms, part of the income reporrted in CO.

Colorado withheld tax, 0 withheld by NC. Turbotax is requiring me to file a non-resident form. Is this an error from the pension fund in reporting the income?

You need to contact the financial institution that manages your pension and have them stop withholding for CO if you have been living in NC.   Have they been withholding for CO for all the years since you moved---or did you just start receiving the pension in 2024?     The way to recover the amount withheld for CO is to file a non-resident return for CO.   When you have two state returns to prepare, you need to prepare the NON-resident state first.
