I'm filling out my 2022 federal return, with Alabama as an additional income state.

On my Alabama state taxes, I mistakenly entered that someone qualified me as Head of Household but they do not. I tried to delete the name & SSI from the Alabama form, but it won't let me. How can I fix this?

Go back to your Personal information section and delete the Dependent.

Open your return
Select Personal Info tab and continue.
Select Edit next to Dependent
On the following screen select Delete next to the dependent's name.
