I'm 62 and I took distribution from an IRA? How do I know that I'm not being charged the 10% early withdrawal fee?

Line 59, Additional tax om IRA's. other qualified retirement plans on your 1040 should be blank.

Ton view your 1040 return:

1) Lower left side of the screen, click last category "Tax Tools" (click the dropdown arrow).

2) Select "Tools"

3) Select "View Tax Summary" under “Other Helpful Links”

4) Then back to the left-side of the screen, click "Preview 1040"
