i have a question about the retirement accounts. do i include it again when it asks if you made contributions if it's employer based where they take it out your check?

deductions were already taken out from my w2 for my retirement plan, do i need to enter it the info again when it asks if i made contributions to a retirement plan?

If your contribution to a retirement plan are on your W-2 in box 12 then you do not enter those contributions anywhere else on a tax return.

I am not sure where you are being asked this. But it could be that you are being asked if you made after-tax contributions to your plan.

If this is the case, then you do not enter any contributions made by your employer, because these are likely to be pre-tax.

If this doesn't make sense, tell us where you see this question and tell us what it is exactly.
