I HAVE A njk-1 TO ENTER.... bUT IT IS REFUSING TO TAKE. i WANT to enter a figure of $42,013.00 in the total distribution box; Part 2. This is the first time I've had t

The K-1 form has 2a and 2b fields in Part III. The 2a is labeled Ordinary dividends, and the 2b is labeled Qualified dividends (just like on your 1099-DIV forms). You will need to enter something in each of these fields.

Try entering 42013 (no comma, no period) in field 2a. Then, if all that money was Qualified (i.e., qualified for the special tax rate that applies to investment income), then enter 42013 in field 2b. I hope that works.
