I have a letter from SSA informing me of a deduction in benifits of 174.90 starting Sep of 2023 but no 1099. How do I file with out this please?

I've contacted SSA 2 times and still no response and wound up not filing in 2022 for this same reason. Any tips advise or info would be greatly appreciated as I need to have a copy of my 2023 tax return for a rental property I am trying to get.

It depends. You can find this information and your tax document by going to your Social Security account on the Social Security Administration (SSA) site.  You can also create an account if you don't already have one. Simply click the link below to get started:

You received a Form SSA-4926-SM from the Social Security Administration informing you of the Medicare Part B payment that will be deducted from your Social Security benefits in 2024.

This is an informational form only and is not entered on a federal tax return.

You only enter the Form SSA-1099 on the federal tax return that you should have received in January 2024 from the Social Security Administration.
