Enter grants in the Search box in the upper right of the online program screen.  Click on Jump to grants

Yes, Form 1099-G can be issued for several different reasons, but there's a specific place for this type of payment.

Here's how to enter it in TurboTax Online:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax.
  2. Select Income and Pick up where I left off.
  3. Select the down arrow to the right of Other Common Income.
  4. Select Start to the right of Other 1099-G Income.
  5. Answer the first question Yes.
  6. Enter the information from your 1099-G.
  7. On the screen, What Type of Payment Did You Receive? select Taxable grant, then Continue.
  8. Enter the remaining information from your 1099-G form and select Continue.

Same question, how do I get Turbo Tax to get the 1099-G box 6 income to show up under farm income and not personal income?

Yes, but that puts it under personal income, not farm income - am I missing something?

Please check JohnB5677 response for instructions on how to report your 1099-G under Farm Income.
