I had insufficient funds in my account on the date they tried to take the taxes I owed… I have the funds now, will they try again or do I need to do something?

The IRS will send you a notice for your dishonored payment and may asses you with a penalty. Refer to the IRS website Dishonored check or other form of payment penalty
