I did not receive a form 1099-R from Edward Jones, so how can I be expected to complete this information?

More details - I did not receive the form - end of story.

The IRS places the responsibility of reporting your income on you. Call Edward Jones. If you can't get one, file Form 4852.

Many Financial providers have allowed people to receive their Tax reporting documents online only, and don't mail them out....unless you opt to receive them that way.

No matter whether you think you've opted in-or-out of mailed forms.....you can get your tax documents  by signing into your EdJones account and getting them as a PDF download.  I always got my EdJones documents that way before they arrived in the mail.  They should be there for you now too.

TurboTax cannot send you the Form 1099-R.  You have to contact your plan administrator and request the form.

Sorry Barb.  No one here can do that for you in this PUBLIC forum.

IF you are just attempting to get a copy of your 2021 1099-R

1) log onto your Edward Jones account to find it in there as a tax document PDF download to your computer.

or

2)  Contact your local Edward Jones office and see if they can help you find it, and perhaps print it out for you.

Are you trying to Import it into your tax software?

1)  You would do that during your 1099-R entry in the retirement income section of the tax software.

2) or....if that doesn't work, you might have to enter it manually using your paper copy  (a number of brokerages have taken down their special tax file import sites by this time of year, so manual entry is sometimes required)
