I an a daca recipient and I wanted to know that if for the insurance portion if I need to check the box that says I am not a legal us resident

Where is this question?  In the federal interview or in some state?

Are you a California resident? You are exempt from the penalty for having no medical insurance coverage. DACA recipients are not U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.
