If you're retired and don't have a W-2, you can still file your tax return using TurboTax. Here's how to skip the W-2 section and proceed with your filing:

Steps to Skip W-2 in TurboTax:

  1. Open Your Return
  2. Access Tax Tools: In the left sidebar, select Tax Tools > Tools.
  3. Delete W-2 Form: In the pop-up window, choose Delete a form.
    • Select Delete next to any W-2 forms listed and follow the onscreen instructions.
  4. Enter Retirement Income:
    • Enter your SSA-1099 for Social Security benefits or 1099-R for retirement income using instructions here and here.
