I am on the turbo tax initial questionnaire page. Question: I had a 401k that I took an early loan on (Form 1099-R). Should I select Turbo Tax's "I sold stock" option?

No, you should not select that.  You didn't sell stock, you had a Distribution from a Retirement Plan.

To input it into Turbo Tax:

1.  Click Federal on the left-hand side menu.

2.  Click Income across the top.

3.  Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security and click Show more.

4.  Click Start or Revisit by Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099).
