I am entering information for my retirement disbursement. The system continually returns me to the form for an incorrect zip. It IS the correct zip as verified by payer

How do I resolve this?

I suggest you look up the zip code for that location independently and just enter the first five digits for it.

I have looked up the zip code........directly from the USPS web site and through a private company that has a database of zip codes.   Both give me the same zip that I have that TurboTax is telling me is wrong.  So frustrating and annoying.

Check the mailing address reported for the IRS form 1099-R for the box Address type.  Has something other than a US address been selected?

 

 

  • Click on Federal down the left side of the screen.
  • Click on Wages & Income down the left side of the screen.
  • Click Edit / Add to the right of IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals.
  • Click Edit to the right of the 1099-R.
  • Make sure that Address type is US address.
