I am an employer and using the TurboTax Business. I created a 1099 form and efile accepted. I want to now void it. How can I do it? It does not let me change to 0 or void

If you've already e-filed a 1099 form through TurboTax Business and need to void or correct it, you typically have to file a corrected form rather than changing the original to zero. Here’s what you can do:

  1. File a Corrected 1099 Form – The IRS requires a new 1099 form with the corrected information. You’ll also need to submit Form 1096 to accompany the correction.
  2. Contact the IRS – If you need guidance, the IRS has a centralized call site for 1099 corrections at 1-866-455-7438, available Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Central Time

Thank you.

I used Efile service in TurboTax.

But I cannot correct the form to make the Compensation file 0, or Void this 1099.

Do you know how to do it in TurboTax Business?

If you used the Employer Forms tool from TurboTax Business, you will need to use the IRS website forms and instructions for corrections. Neither TurboTax Business nor Quick Employer Forms support corrected forms at this time.
