I am a sole proprietor that contributes as the employer to my 401K. Where do I enter the contributions? I am using TT home and business for 2017. Thank you.

In TurboTax Home & Business, to enter your 401(k) contribution, please follow these steps:

  • Open your tax return and click on Business then click Continue
  • On the next page, click on I'll choose what I work on
  • Locate the Less Common Business Situations
  • Click Start next to Self-Employed Retirement (see attached screenshot).
