I am a retiree. While employed I joined a professional organization connected with my work and have maintained my membership is retirement. Is that membership fee deductible?

This is organization is the Public Relations Society of America. I have kept up my accreditation in PRSA and this national membership includes membership in my local chapter.

No, unless this membership is related to current income that you earn. The IRS says that expenses are deductible if they are ordinary and necessary for the production of income.
